Just to show off the make-up, really. Finally got to wear this to a con, Telford Expo.
Again, just taken it with a phone camera cos I sold my camera to get to Expo last year.

Ah thank you!! Haha I feel sometimes I am like the grandad of 2-D cosplay. The scleral lens fad is my fault, I think, cos I was the first cosplayer to use them - I was advising people where to get them etc but I know one girl bought factory made ones (instead of the handmade ones), where it's cut and stamped by machine, and it split in her eye D: so I do not recommend that kind of thing because of the sheer danger!

The scleral lens thing is probably the mot important part of the 2D cosplay, since that's arguably his biggest trademark. You did a good thing, since coloring in the eyes by editor just doesn't feel the same, and doesn't look halfway as realistic.

Is the brand UK-specific? All of my stuff is going to be coming from Malaysia, so I'd be hunting for something that's sold on a global-scale.

Hmm, that is a German brand so as far as I know it is sold worldwide. I know many brands that do them such as Grimas, Ben Nye, Mehron - Ben Nye may be your best bet actually! It was started by a Hollywood MUA so I think is more known?

Can you try through eBay? I understand that, I think the UK is pretty amazing for the amount of stuff available and amount of stuff that can be ordered into this country. I had a friend from Kuwait and the amount of stuff that would be confiscated by customs such as DVDs he ordered because the content material wasn't allowed, such as "One Piece", the anime.Β

The thing about Pakistan is not that customs won't allow stuff in, I mean, they'll let anything in if you pay them enough, it's the fact that people go through mail and steal. Anything they can get their hands on. Once, back in the early 2000s, we even had personal Kodaks stolen through the postal service if that tells you anything.

Ahh man I get you. Some places I have lived have been similar (why most places won't post to Italy anymore...!) but thankfully I'm OK here.
I imported the lenses from www.crystalreflectionsintl.com⦠the second time I bought some, I used to recommend 9mmsfx but as the company has got bigger the customer service was awful and they sent me a faulty lens. You cannot actually buy prescription lenses unless through an optician here and then they put the price up even more so importing was the only way to go! :--)

I don't even bother with prescriptions anymore, even though I have awful eyes. I haven't worn glasses since I was thirteen anyway, so I'll skimp and just get my bestfriend to buy me a pair.

Actually haha the first time I found out I had bad eyesight was when I was 7, my dad went "See that sign over there?" and got shocked when I replied "What sign? It's all blue over there!" XD

Mine is pretty much cumulative, since I wasn't born with bad eyesight, and I've known how to work the internet since the age of three.
I also read a lot, so that doesn't help either.

Ahh but I think with it, I agree as to it being the trademark which I why I researched and went it, but it's important to not cheap out on it because of eye health, and so on! I know previously people did the make-up on the eyelid and so on and I think that's a safer option. :--) With the teeth I use a theatrical tooth enamel, I think I use kryolan but there are a lot of different brands out there, it's a lot longer lasting than tooth wax or any other method!
It's no problem at all, haha. I stopped answering questions and deleted DA etc after a lot of my design were taken without credit but kind of over all that now.

I'm a believer in the scleral lenses. I've wanted a pair for years now but never had a quite-good-enough reason to buy them until I got into the fandom.
Does it get you the most real-looking results? Long-lasting isn't much of a concern for me, since there are no cons around Pakistan (or Alabama, for that matter).
There are so many cosplayer horror stories out there, and people are shameless, so that's actually not all that surprising.

Once you start you can't stop haha, I just want lots of pairs...! I would say it is the most realistic method, my pair lasted me about 5 years so I think well worth the investment (I wear them to clubs, zombie walks, etc) so I got a lot more use out of them! And thank you again so so much :--)

It depends what phase you're doing as I have different wigs from different phases as they change colour/styles. This was from eBay over a year ago now, er, but it's been cut and styled differently to how it originally came! :--)
