[Mindless Rant/Lame Excuses]

Well...I've been gone...a long time. And I really haven't any good excuses past the beginning of March... I've been rather ill off and on for the past several months, but nothing too bad. Schoolwork was probably the biggest reason I put off working on stuff.

Truly, I had a whole bunch of things I'd been working on and touching up. And then...my computer killed itself. The power button somehow broke. So then, my dad got really mad and zipped the harddrive when we got it fixed. And yeah...lost e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g...The last time I made backups was about January, so I still have some things...once I find my discs... I lost one of my major projects -- a poster version of Bakuryu -- that I had been putting the finishing touches on.

I opted to take a Summer class so that I could get a grad. requirement out of the way, so I've been a bit busy with that.

Anyway, a friend of mine recently got me into the whole Naruto Fandom. I didn't like it for a long time, mostly because it turned my brother into even more of a mindless zombie, but it grew on me.

So, this is Neji Hyuuga. He became my favorite charater -- even moreso after I found out about awhile ago that we share the same birthday (July 3rd). So I hustled [I started it sometime around the beginning of June] to try to get it uploaded by then -- obviously didn't work -- was very busy that week.

Now, I realize that he has dark brown/black hair. However, when I had started this, I had to use my Grandfather's computer. I swear in the name of all things random, on that compy, his hair looked black with brown highlights. Once I moved it to my compy, I realized that his hair looked a lot more reddish-brown. But Chy couldn't find it in her heart to change it because she thought it looked too pretty. So bear with me. It's still pretty, ne?

The gosh darn hardest part of this pic was his shoes and figuring out how to put his feet. I've never actually put all that much effort into drawing feet before, so I'm proud of how they turned out. While on the note of things I've never drawn, a full background is one of them--never attempted water or a sunset. I am also very proud of my dead tree...log...thing.

That Birdcage...took...FOREVER...to sort out.

And yeah...I took some major liberties with his outfit. I don't really like any of his actual outfits in the series, so I made him a new one. But it looks cool, ne...?! I tried to incorporate pieces of his other outfits into this one.

Meh...this wasn't going to be a wallpaper at first...but I had to make it bigger and then just decided to increase the size more to fit. Also took some liberties with the border. The symbol down in the lower right is an altered version of the Hyuuga curse seal. I know there is a lot of tossing it around and all that, but it's how the original is portrayed, so I stuck with it (on his forehead).

After Thoughts: Now that I look at it, and I'm not sleep deprived, it looks like a Unicorn threw up a rainbow all over this...it even looks like there're sparkles!
