Description A Fire-tufted Barbet Psilopogon pyrolophus at the San Diego Zoo. It is a member of the Ramphastidae family (toucans) and is not immediately related to the other barbets, which are contained in the families Lybiidae, Capitonidae, Megalaimidae, and Semnornithidae. However, all barbets (and toucans) are collected within the order Piciformes, of which woodpeckers make up the majority! Honeyguides, Jacamars (these are very interesting birds, but I've never managed to get a picture of one because I've never seen one in person, even at a zoo), and the adorable, aptly-named Puffbirds also belong to the order Piciformes.
