Marvellous. At first I thought it was snow: than I looked better and I saw the grass, the petals. Your choice of more faded, almost black and white colours, really adds something to this picture - and the point of view is quite appropriated. My compliments.

Świetne wykorzystanie filtra. Zapiera dech w piersi takie spojrzenie na Ogród Japoński.

There is a great deal in this striking image: the overall composition (especially the lead lines of the branches and the stream all pointing to the house), the reflections, the tonal range, the different textures (I'm keen on textures in images!), and the overall IR look. One thing I may have tried (and you may have checked it out anyway) is to alter the aspect ratio, not by cropping, else you lose the reflections as you say, but by simply re-scaling the image. At the moment the ratio is about 1.4, rescaling to about 1.5 may give it a neat tweak. Anyway, just an idea I learnt from a pro once upon a time!

Cheers

David

I might just try it! Thank you so much for that suggestion and for such an extensive comment

Wow - I think that is better, and do you notice how there is no obvious distortion? All the info of the original is retained, but as there is an inherent horizontal bias - the branches and the river bank, then these are slightly enhanced. It is an interesting tweak to work with.

Cheers

David

(the bottom needs some cropping IMO)

Cropping would ruin the mirror effect

it's already ruined by underexposure of the reflection.

Well, it's your opinion. I think it's perfectly fine But thanks anyway!
