Ah.
I didn't really buy Hero Factory stuff. Their sets just seemed uninspired, that kinda killed the drive to buy. (That and the fact we live from paycheck to paycheck here, but that's besides the point.)

Well, they revolutionized it with the new joints and armor choices - the story was made for mindless 4-6 year olds. The new gen bionicle is pretty much the same, while still trying to cater to Gen. 1 lovers. I only bought the sets for the pieces (although I coulda used Bricklink, too)

I'm glad they've added some inspiration to the builds of the new Bionicles. Stuff M.O.Cists would normally do.
I see the rebooted story like that of Halloween.
Nobody likes to hint at the fact Halloween started with starving children crawling door to door begging for food.
Same here.
Nobody likes to hint at the fact the Toa faced real, life threatening danger, and had to kill those who threatened to kill.
They tell the story, while leaving out all the bits make it what it is.
I didn't see that with Hero Factory, though. It really was just manufactured "Heroes" fighting villains who committed crimes for enjoyment.
"Good guy wins, bad guy loses. No, don't make me think! I just wanna be entertained."

I think Lego wanted to make their toyline as cool as Marvel or DC superheros, and thus Hero Factory. But they are pretty robotic (not just the fact that they are robots) in their actions - they have fun, but mostly try to stop the bad guys.
Bionicle was such an in-depth story with relate-able characters, good and bad, both sides with reasoning, intelligence and emotion that made them more human than the biomechanical beings that they are.

I've been meaning to use this shade of green rather than the lime green from Breez, scorpio, etc. - this shade is better for me
