I said I'd give up anything to get closer to you,but with you so far away, these things go unseen.
They mean nothing to you because you haven't been around,
to see how I've changed, and sacrifices I made.
I turn countless things down, just to keep you close,
and everyone wonders why I hurt.
I didn't make you promise me anything at all,
yet I gave up my entire world for you.
What are you going to give up for my love?
What changes are you willing to make?
I'll be here waiting to see what you decide.
Just a few things are all I ask, to make this fair.
As long as I know what you would give up for me,
no one will have to see me suffer.
They don't have to be promises, only reassurances.
You are now my life, and I want to be yours.

This is EXACTLY how I was feeling last night. Tho, my mind was filled with clouds of doubt and anguish. This sort of summons up the conversations between my b/f and I.

Anyways I love this poem. I had asked him what would happen if I decided to come back home after a trip I am supposed to be taking in the spring. He told me it was a silly question and he asked me what my heart said. You know, I always ask him questions that I already know the answers to. I guess it just takes him to ask the questions I need in order to show me that I know them. Does that make sense? Long story short - I'd give it all up, because I know that he's worth it.
Btw: Do you mind if I put a part of the poem in my journal? I'll totally give you credit and all.
