This was done as part of a school assignment, to do a self portrait that has a story behind it.My story is, that when I was younger, for about a year I had a problem with my eyes where little cells broke off the retina and floated across my field of vision, causing me to see spots darting quickly in the corners of my eyes every now and again.
My brain, in all it's stupid wonder, began to interpret these spots as cats. I'd see a cat, in the corner of my eye, turn to look and it was gone. So for a year I'd ocassionally randomly see ghost-cats running around. Freaky, yes?
Eventually the problem went away on its own, and I found out later that it's actually harmless and common for people to sometimes experience a "floater" when the shed cells from your eye happen to drift into your field of vision. So if you find yourself seeing ghosts, maybe you don't need an exorcist. Maybe you've just got a case of the floaters.
The image quality for this is terrible, such a bad photo. I'll retake it when it's done being graded. It doesn't even look anything like me at all and I don't really like it much.

I'm pretty sure half of the things my brain sees as flies are actually floaters. Now I wonder how many of them are actually insects.

I've seen "floaters"too and still do occasionally,but never as cats.Maybe you have cats living in your eyeballs."Eyeball cats:timid creatures that from time to time work up the courage to look at an outside world from the retina of a human being.

...My teacher is having that problem with her eyes....maybe I should tell her what you have, but they think hers is caused by stress. (which I can understand and I shouldn't tihnk what happened in school earlier on could have relieved that stress)
I love this though, it shows so much in this picture. (I just admire anyone that can do that <3 since I can't myself.)

She should probably get her eyes checked. It's usually nothing serious but if it happens a whole lot, like constantly, then it could be a sign something is wrong.

She has had her eyes checked, the only plausible reason they could come up with was it was caused by stress.

Nearly every weird thing about me can probably be traced back to my childhood in one way or another. I think the townhouse I lived in as a toddler had lead paint.
