Description
The Kirin (Qirin, Quilin, etc) is an animal found in Chinese and Japanese mythology. It has often been described as the Chinese unicorn (or maybe the unicorn is the European Kirin?)

It is said to share many of the same mystical properties as unicorns, including an inherent goodness, a peaceful nature but fierce when provoked, and an ability to move seemlessly through grass and trees without disturbing them.

It has an antelope-like body but is covered in scales. The kirin animal is likely based on the giraffe, and old depictions of giraffes from Chinese courts are often labeled 'kirins.'

Bleh I feel so uninspired lately. Maybe I should get back into writing and try to focus.
