Wonderful detail. I like the tree branch. I am sure he is nervous. The only squirrels that aren't are the protected ones in D.C.

Thanks so much! They're really neat little animals.

Their head reminds me of a rabbit more than a squirrel. I heard squirrels are huge up north.

They are, the ones at our zoo are massive, they almost look like cats.

That's exactly what I heard, big as cats. Ours are more like the size of birds.

I rarely see foxes and squirrels anymore. Even bugs, birds, and lizards look less in number. Guess making the city bigger is killing them. Racoons and possums feel rare too. I've never seen a scorpion or armadillo before.

Aw, that sucks. We usually get a pretty good spread of critters out here. Mostly deer and jackrabbits in the city, but lately coyotes have been making their way through too.

We only get deer in the everglades, I don't think they come into the city. Alligators usually lurk in our canals though.

That's kinda creepy, haha. Biggest thing we get out here is cougars. Most of them are scared of people but sometimes they go after horses. There must be a lot of them out there because the state culls a bunch every year.

They've got more energy. They have to go out looking for their food, gators seem to just float until something wanders within range.

Yup. Alligators can run really fast I heard and I doubt that whole zig-zag run method of getting away is true. Cougars can chase you into a tree though. Both are bad to run into.

I missed it myself, to be honest. I haven't been in the illustrative mood hardly at all for months, feels good to finally do some again.
