Flower: The Wicked Red Rose - It's said that he who dares not grasp the thorn should not dare crave the rose. For those seeking a night with the Egyptian, they must not be afraid of a little pain. It is always by way of pain that one arrives by pleasure.

Personality: If there was ever a man who believed himself to be a god on earth, it would be Hasani. Often quite narcissistic and very closed minded, he’s the type who refuses to believe that he is ever wrong and will argue that he is right even if he is in fact wrong. That being said, he is a man with a violent temper when provoked and sometimes displays a rash, impulsive nature. But that’s not to say he is always unreasonable. Sometimes he can be reasoned with intelligent debate and philosophical ideologies.

Hasani has always believed that others are beneath him and deserve not even a passing thought from him.

Although he can act respectable, he does not display it to others. It’s very hard to earn his respect and admiration. Perhaps the only people who do have his respect and admiration are dead military leaders and ancient kings and pharaohs. (Julian is one of the rare few that he will show respect towards.) He can be quiet the charismatic gentlemen, but that’s typically only when he wants something. It’s not beneath him to use his charms to will old widows out of any kind of goods they may be sheltering.

He’s always had a hard time trying to empathize with others. Perhaps this is due in part to the fact that he could care less about others who are not even worthy enough to wipe the dirt from his shoes. He could really care less about what happens to others. If it does not affect him directly, he does not wish to bother with it.

He lives for his own personal satisfaction and never denies himself any pleasures of the body.

History: Hasani was the first born son of the Pharaoh, Akhenaton. As the first born, he was instantly treated like the couples very own gift from the gods. He was pampered and always given the best of everything. Even as child, he had riches beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Throughout Egypt he was known as the ‘God Child’ due to the fact that he was born during a solar eclipse. The people took it as a sign from the gods that he was the new embodiment of a god on earth. Little did the people know that the solar eclipse was in fact a bad omen of the future to come.

When Hasani was seven, his mother gave birth to another son, Issa. Almost instantly there was a rivalry between the two brothers because of Hasani's status as the God Child and Issa being treated as if he were nothing. His father brought the best scholars from all over the world to teach and groom Hasani into a good ruler while Issa was mostly ignored and his education was left up to what his mother could provide for him.

As they grew older, the two brothers’ distaste grew into pure hatred. While Hasani was his fathers’ favorite, Issa was his mothers’ favorite. Each brother made it no secret that they wished to be the favorite of both parents and strove for the favor of their parents. From the hair pulling to the putting poisonous snakes in each others beds, the siblings bickered constantly. (There had even been one violent incident where a hot poker was involved and hence the scar across Hasani’s face.) When they were still considered children, Pharaoh Akhenaton took ill under mysterious circumstances. The Pharaoh was bed ridden for days before he finally passed away of a high fever. Before the body was even cold, his wife was already trying to challenge Hasani's right to the throne. It was a vicious verbal battle that ended with Hasani threatening to exile both his mother and brother from Egypt. When it was finally over, his sibling and mother quietly retreated to the shadows and he took the throne.

Oddly, It was a glorious period in Egypt. Hardly anything went wrong from the time the young sixteen year old Hasani came into power and ruled the land with an iron fist (or gold since he liked that more). During the time, Issa simply stayed in the back and became an adviser who was never asked for his input; he was still jealous of his brother’s reign and still determined to take the crown for himself. It wasn’t until Hasani’s fifth year in power that Issa finally hatched a plan to rid the kingdom of the ‘God King’.

One night when Hasani was in bed with his multiple lovers, Issa and some of his men stormed through the room and slayed all of the women and men. Grabbing Hasani from his bed of blood lovers, he was dragged far out of the kingdom and buried alive in a golden sarcophagus. Issa ordered that his brother’s body be buried deep underground of a forgotten tomb while the other bodies would be cast into the Nile River. While he knew that Hasani was not really dead, he didn’t care; he wanted him buried alive and made to suffer. Hasani did not stir until he had been completely buried under ground. With what little air he had, he screamed and prayed to the gods to save him and let him take his revenge on his brother and his betrayers. No help came until the Pharaoh passed out from lack of oxygen.

Before his breath left him completely, his prayers were answered by the god Anubis. The lord of the dead had watched the young pharaoh suffer and die by his brother's hands, he had also heard the plea of the dying man. Feeling some, not much, remorse for the pharaoh, Anubis decided to save his life and let his revenge strike the heart of Egypt. But there was a catch. Hasani's life would be spared and he would get his revenge, but it would be at the cost of his own mortality. Breathing immortality into him, the pharaoh's mortality was stripped from him and a curse of drought and famine was placed upon the kingdom as revenge. Hasani, now immortal and unable to escape his tomb, spent the next 1,547 years trapped inside of the golden sarcophagus.

The tomb was discovered by a man named Sir Hans Sloane in 1753, but the sarcophagus was never opened. Hasani still had to wait. Finally in 1829 the sarcophagus was sold to a rich businessman who purchased it as a lavish gift for Lord Julian Kaynard. What was supposed to be nothing more than a decorative piece of furniture proved to be much more when the sarcophagus was actually opened and out fell a living, breathing, man. What was Lord Julian supposed to do with such a fine man?! Well, that choice was obvious. He cleaned the young pharaoh up, fed him, and gave him a home a purpose in strange new era.

Additional Tidbits:
° Although he is technically human, he is immortal. This means he cannot die. Any injuries suffered will always heal themselves. For example, a broken bone will heal overnight.
° Because of the education he received as a child he knew how to speak some English as well as Latin. He continues to work on his education at Persephone by reading whenever he can.
° His best friend and only love is his cat, Amon. He might possibly be a crazy cat man since he dotes on his precious kitty like crazy.
° He hates the feeling of body hair.
° Sometimes modern things confuse him but there are modern things he enjoys - such as cheetos.
