Description Based on the episode Whom Gods Destroy, when Kirk says that Spock is his 'brother'. Me and were so sure that Spock was going to start kvelling. Not that it wouldn't be out-of-character or anything, but still.

James T. Kirk and Spock (c) Gene Roddenberry, Paramount, etc.

lolololol. Thank you! Poor Spock, he reveals his inner emotions and no one loves him. (Except Kirk, who is, truth be told, just as embarrassing a friend.)

Haha, yeah, well you know the thing about Vulcans – when they don’t control their emotions, emotions control them and that is almost always akward...for everybody
So true, they are both like that, and we love it about them

I haven't even seen that episode yet, and I am laughing so hard right now. I think it's partially because I have no idea what's going on that I find it so amusing. But seriously, imagining Spock doing that is making me just laugh my head off.

lol! Seriously? YESSSS. I'm glad I could make you laugh. This episode is crazy times anyway. I hope you watch it eventually. FUN TIMESSSSS.

And you know he would start kvelling. If not in reality, then in his mind.

I will. I've just been watching them all in order with my sister who lives a very busy life. We have an agreement to not watch without each other, so I've been unable to watch any for months. O_o It's starting to drive me slightly insane.

Oh, totally.

cinnamon-lady24 In reply to muffiestuff [2011-05-15 09:49:50 +0000 UTC]

Oh! I watched them in order too and the films as well, but with my whole family. My sister got them for her brithday and my dad just went, "OH MY GOD. I AM WATCHING THESE WITH YOU." I know what you mean about busy siblings. Luckily when my older sister went off to college she didn't make us promise to hold off the X-Files until she got back, because otherwise... yeah. HEADS WOULD'VE ROLLED.

My sister is still at home and all, she just had so much homework. And now she's gotten sick, so. :/ But she's been telling me that she wants to watch with me and I told her that if I'm going to watch Merlin with her (which is her current obsession) then she needs to watch Star Trek with me.
I've only seen the end of one episode of the X-Files and the beginning of another, so I haven't formed an opinion about it. I thought about watching bits of it hither and thither, but I haven't had the time yet between all the other shows I must watch. Including many BBC shows.

LOL. BLACKMAIL IS BEST WAY OF DEALING WITH SIBLINGS. True fact.

The X-Files is fun. The build-up of the relationships in the show is really excellent and very different from a lot of modern television. I recommend it.

Too bad it hasn't worked yet. -_- I JUST WANNA WATCH STAR TREKKKK!

Hmm... I might look into it. I'm just worried I'll get even weirder about aliens if I'm watching three shows about them. Although that's unlikely to stop me. So yeah. Aliens, yay!

cinnamon-lady24 In reply to muffiestuff [2011-05-18 11:16:24 +0000 UTC]

I KNOW THE FEELING. When it was my birthday and I got season 3 of TOS, I was just like, "Guys, this is all we're watching." NO REGRETS.

What's funny about the X-Files is that the aliens are pretty arbitrary. Actually, some of the best episodes are the ones where there aren't aliens.

muffiestuff In reply to cinnamon-lady24 [2011-05-18 19:50:21 +0000 UTC]

I feel like eventually I'm going to annoy her with my "Hey... Hey Emily... hey... hey listen... hey... Emily... hey... can... can we watch Star Trek? ...Please?" ...Okay, so I'm not quite that annoying. But none the less.
I JUST WANT TO WATCH STAR TREK FOREVER *sob*

Hahaha! I think that's sort of typical is scifi, though. In Doctor Who (I don't know if you know about it but it's a good show), there's this one episode where you never see the alien and it's never mentioned again. But it's one of the best episodes the show has ever had. It's absolutely terrifying, partially because you never get to see what's causing all of this, but also partially because it's extremely psychological.

You should go all Charlie the Unicorn on her. That's the best move.

I've seen a few episodes of Doctor Who (the David Tennant one) and some of Torchwood. I know what you mean, though, about the unseen enemy thing. It's freaky!

I've never seen Torchwood. I've heard mixed things about it and one of my best friends told me it's probably not the best idea for me to watch it, so I haven't seen any yet.

No, it's godly. I adore that type of writing, seriously. To bad mine is far from that, but yours is just fantastic <3

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cinnamon-lady24 In reply to JulietBeyondGoth [2010-11-29 14:39:18 +0000 UTC]

'Apt' meaning 'totally right'. And it would be logical, just to see Bones get mad.

Wow, thank you! My handwriting came about from a screwed up interpretation of cursive (I always get mixed up between the French and US styles). Weirdly though, in the US editions of the Harry Potter books, they have the signatures of the different characters and I remember thinking when I was little that Sirius Black's was so cool and recently I wrote his name by hand and then I just kind of looked at it and was like, "Oh my God... I got that handwriting..." It's weird, no? My mom can't read my handwriting though. It drives her crazy.
