Description
With conviction, Noor urged forward towards the iced plains. The sun was rising and the snow had settled, and Noor knew where she was headed. What she was looking for though, can be answered another time. The chestnut mare stopped shortly to smell the air. No blood, no horses, no nothing. She liked it. "That's more like it", she hummed and gazed towards the horizon. The sky was bleak, but getting brighter, and moving. The clouds danced and the snow creaked beneath her hooves. It was getting milder. The ice was starting to melt and the birds were soon to return to these lands – What more could she wish for?
Noor nodded to herself. This is just what she needed. She stole a glance from where she came from and perked her ears. She was still alone.
And so, the soft breeze followed her as she started trotting again. "Good," she thought to herself. That means that she anyone behind her won't be able to track her. Hopefully, there was no one in front either. Noor felt a warmth grow and spreading from deep inside her chest, stretch all the way to her ribs and legs and she leaped into a canter. Finally, she's on the right path! Her horn burned fiercely and she whinnied happily. Freedom!
