Thanks! Yeah, I was feeling kind of depressed on the day I made this poster. So, my brain decided that the best possible way to erase that depression was to create something really sad and depressing (my brain works in strange ways).

I've gone over these tips with another user before so please don't take them harshly, I only want to help you 'improve' (by my OCD standards )
I'm not sure why I do it, because it just up's the ante for my own competition
FOV is too low; a panoramic FOV like you have here doesn't do the scene justice.Β
Check your lighting, for a dramatic scene, never do without lights unless the scene calls for complete darkness. A streetlamp (or at any rate: a porchlight, Β above Sonic here would symbolize betrayal [Sonic is "in the light" so by making Amy run away "into the darkness" she no longer is "in the light"]
Make sure hair (or quills) flow naturally. Make Amy's hair look like its trailing behind her, not being blown back by gale force winds.
Pose every finger!! Even I skimp on this sometimes but fingers need to 'flow' naturally. If they aren't part of the scene, then simply relax them, almost always this requires posing of the thumbs. Amy's palming her face, press the hand against the face and pose the fingers to wrap around the head.Β
I do, however, commend you for background props and fixtures (assuming they weren't already there, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt ) you locations should tell a story on their own behalf; Depending on the location, practical-use placement of background objects is important. Sonic's tongue slipped suddenly once Amy and he were on Seventh Street, where currently there was some repairs being made to an awning, and someone had parked their bike there.
What I try to do when I make my own posters, is I describe the setting in writing, then build it from that, adding/omitting any extra things as I see fit, as I go.
Make the toes move where Β the foot won't go. When you walk, run, or even jump, you most likely bend your feet onto your toes. Doing without may result in an awkward and painful looking posture.
As for Sonic: Make use of the eyelids. I suggest you experiment either with the procedural bones (the controls that are adjusted by the little bar such as [||||||smile|||| Β Β Β ]) or the manual control ones that have pos and rot dags on them, located within the mess of other things that you can pose on him. Eyelids are one of Sonic's few emotion-conveying features, having him drop-eyed like he is here leaves too much void to detract from the message you're trying to send; you want him looking surprised "wait, why are you running away? Was it something I said?", or saddened "I'm sorry Amy, I didn't mean it!!"?
Well..... I have more suggestions but I believe I've gone too far already... Erm... Good luck, mate!Β
And yes I love using hyphens, helps with what you can't convey in text what requires body language

I never knew someone could give such a long review... and I thank you for it. After seeing your 'Basics' poster, I seriously can't help but notice that my posters all feel bare and empty, so this was my first attempt at placing props to the background.
As for the eyelids, ugh, they never seem to want to co-operate. When I rendered the version with Sonic's eyelids, there always seems to be that one part in the corner that is awkwardly going through Sonic's eyes, causing a white spot in the corner. (Well, that was confusing)
As for Amy's quills, err.. yeah, I screwed up there.
Once again, thanks for the comment. Means a lot to me when everyone else (except a select few) just favourites and leaves without saying one word.

Heheh. Nice way to put a funny spin on things that are supposed to be sad... I like it!
P.S.:No sarcasm in the comment.
