Description wet syllables such
lifting love from
the lips of one
like a silken string clean
and blue and curved sensuously
in some heady truce with gravity.

the notes are no surrender though
they dive up swift as a clutch
of startled finches
and smoothly swirling
through the weightless clouds
make delicate melody.

we
watch with small gasps and clamped hands
at the dream presented
the flight possibility
and childhood memory of freedom

but
i am not clever enough yet
and it would break my heart
to catch these beauties
so they stay distant
despite the immediacy
of the being making them
just ten feet but anyway
that's another unattainable.

so i'm sutured in unbearable waiting
i want something i wanted
and i trusted once
in natural disasters it was foolish
courting hurricanes and earthquakes
but i loved the intensity
and romance of dirty pretty things.

i was just a ragged pill of tattered blue facets
sublimating burial urges
to return to not long ago
when swallowed whole
by light blinking and bellowing
first breaths
i must have known

my first lesson
nothing stays.

but together in a different way
together we are driving rain.
we may be individuated and disassociated
but we're closer than we think.
birds and notes and you and i are all the same.
temporal ephemeral beauties
that will vanish as quick and brilliant as they came.

Your getting quite proficient at juggling your observations and assosiations. I sense a kind of fusion here between your more abstract stylizations and your storytelling oriented work that I have not noticed before. It certainly made for an interesting read!

I like it but it seems to take a sudden turn in the middle, I must be missing something...

it does.
i start with the fixation upon a human being. sensuous observations.
it is associated with the event that is occuring.
later after wrestling with the unnatainability of the girl and the music i change do a more disassociated state.
a contemplative state where i'm reconciling the feeling of unattainability, and how it relates to situations in my past.
