Description different perspective 1: [link]

i love street photography. sometimes when i am in the right mood i simply turn off everything in my mind except looking for the right moment and motif.... i am walking around, sometimes running.... in my own world... I often get lost, miss buses....forget on friends behind.....
i love that feeling and taking pictures in such way. i enjoy it so much. i think that for good street photography....you have to be very open, positive, happy and self confident..... because people feel that and they let you take pictures of them.... maybe you wouldn`t agree?

i have been taking pictures of dogs....and their relations with kids and people for about 2 years.... i want to make an exhibiton one day.... but i am still not happy with the whole concept.

btw, I took this one long ago... I think in september or august in Ljubljana.

infact there are only two important point in pic. dog's and child's look, but presence of other stuffs make you out of concentraiton while looking at photo.
besides these, good choise for concept.

At first glance, I feel like a vertical shot of the woman in black and the dog, from a left-most perspective would've been fantastic.

And then, looking at the child's eyes and the dog's, at nearly the same height level, is also nice.

i really like everything you said about street photography
because i can be really shy especially when i get weird looks from people.
but that's great advice for someone like me.

the title says a lot about the photo, really nice how you took it!
i like the way you talk about street photography, makes me think about starting... but it is a sad thing in Quebec we can't publish any photo featuring the face of someone's in the street except with written permission...

any way i really enjoy the shot keep your exhibition project in mind!

Good one C! I think that cloning out advertisement would help a bunch, as it competes with the focal point (dog)...otherwise fine composition!

well i think it would be a very awesome exhibit! to be honest with you, that sounds original and thoughtful. Im excited myself, until now I had been doing sort of street photography... but with a consumer camera... so now i got a nikon d50... i havent taken a picture yet because the battery is still charging.... but i know exactly what you mean by getting lost in time taking photos, ive done it myself. haha...

I wish I could take more street photography. The idea interests me a lot, but I'm pretty shy and have anxiety about people looking at me funny or yelling at me for just randomly taking a picture of them or their kid. Do you get any problems with that?

indeed and what do you think about shot?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

arnaudlegrand In reply to Ciril [2006-01-11 22:47:13 +0000 UTC]

oh I forgot to comment it seriously (I try not te be too serious those days, it is very good for my mood ).

hmmm... I like how the trolley makes a frame for the dog, but the cropping is too tight from the baby on the right border. I can see you cropped another character close to him, this may be a good reason then. Maybe a more balanced shot of the baby in front of you and watching the dog would have been more effiscient. This would have hidden the plastic bag and its advertising too. Contrast and light are perfect.
