Every once in a while I have to force myself to go through a gallery I've visited and try to pick out a piece that I may have overlooked at one point or another.
This one grabbed my attention because of the concept behind it - it's amazing what a simple change in perspective can reveal
The shadows are very strong and solid, their edges are very crisp - makes the concept behind the image that much more believeable. I think that another nice aspect of this is the square format that you've chosen - it's a nice limitation that the photographer has to work with and it offers a refreshing change from the standard formats.

That is really quite ingenious... what a great eye for photography! Well done. I agree that the monochrome works better. The colour distracts from the main focus too much and that sorta defeats the purpose of the shadows, right? Plus, the dog is already black and white.

Yeah, having looked at the other version, I think the monochrome does work better on this one......and I LOVE the shot! Not entirely sure why, but it's just great, lol!! It's so cool! D

thats awesome...not just the idea of getting a bird's eye shot but especially the luck/timing of getting the perfect length and direction of shadow. you could submit a whole series of a day's worth of walker-bys

oh my god, that is awesome. i love the angle, and the way everything seems placed perfectly - the dogs shadow starting where the buildings ends, the fact that they all seem perfectly upright.
