Though obviously we can see Merida is enjoying Hiccup's kiss~XD Anyways, here we have a Modern AU with an older Hiccup (~16 y.o.) and Merida (~18 y.o.) I imagined that Merida is graduating from a private high school, where she excels in horseback riding and archery, but is going to enter a business university since she's gonna be the heir of her parents' company. Hiccup on the other hand is still in high school, has a cat named Toothless (I know he's portrayed a lot as a dog, but Toothless showed a lot of feline characteristics too), and wants to get into an engineering university to make inventions for the disabled.

In this illustration, I imagined it's been almost a month since these two adorkable sweethearts had seen each other because of their busy lives (i.e. Merida getting ready for graduation, and Hiccup volunteering at Gobbler's blacksmith shop) and so when they finally are able to physically see each other, they affectionately greet each other, especially on Hiccup's part here. I'd sayr ight after, Merida jumps in for a quick kiss on the lips~ though I don't think I'll be able to draw that since I've wasted so much time already drawing, and I also have a commission I must do! My very first one!
