Description

Another biggie.  180 x 82 cm  Second prehistoric art painting in acrylic.  This time I wanted to represent one of the busier petroglyphs whereby newer images were painted over older ones, thus creating a confused and busy conglomeration of images.

At one stage I had to take this outside where elements of Pollock and his methods were employed.  LOL

This one is stored in my music room unframed.

Barak Osama offered me $1.5 Mil for it, but would
not pay the cost of boxing and freighting, so I refused
to sell it to him.

Hah! That's so funny!!
You should frame it though, so it feels the love, and to keep it safe.

It gave me great satisfaction to put a painting of my own in a frame. It was Girl with Her Dog that got the honor. The frame is the wrong size but I didn't care.
Which painting is your favorite from your Gallery? Or the first you framed?

Oh tough question, because inside of me there is a nasty critic. Tori is one of them, hangs in my small living room and takes up most of the wall.

I am really struggling lately to get back into painting. It's 11pm here in Sydney and yet another thunderous storm has just passed over.  Trees getting toppled over across major highways and stopping the traffic.  Took me two and a half hours to drive to work last week due to a storm, they just keep coming. My veranda is just flooded and my paint tubes all over the joint getting blown about with the wind. I guess soon enough I will get back into the swing of things, in the meantime I'm busy with other things.

Just don't hold your breath or attempt some kind of balancing act in anticipation with bated breath, remember I told you I had a plan?  I'm working on it and that"s occupying my attention at the moment.  Also that special feeling that I must have when I paint is not there right now.  I'm also thinking of publishing my own private Artist's website but will require the help of a professional.  .....  m  m    money... you know?

Sydney has gotten this way also it is something I'm taking in consideration also, but I need the hustle of the big city (so I think at this time) a lot of artists live outside of Sydney but I don't want to be a small town artist selling to tourists not that there's sommink ronk wivdat.

Perhaps you could go to St Ives and keep company with Michael?

I could do CJ but i even thought of opening up a coffee/gallery/thrift shop so people can come in and do a variety of things, you know a section for vinyl and CD's DVD's and brick a brack and build a clientele of people who like that sort of thing. God is guiding me CJ i feel the spirit in me and know my best years are ahead of me

CJ-Judd In reply to JohnVascoPipere [2016-01-31 02:56:31 +0000 UTC]

Only one problem with running a thrift shop and fuck-a-brick (bric-a-brac    ) in my case at least, I would end up keeping everything and placing not for sale labels on them LOL.  But what a great Idea, and yes I like the old vinyl record section always a hit rummaging through the rows, keeps customers in the shop for hours.

Money like that only comes once, don't fall to temptation, money kept idle in the bank has a way of disappearing best buy your own home if you want to play it safe. That's all I can suggest speaking from experience.

I'm resisting temptation to make a funny comment here but I won't. If you want my advice ...  is stay safe, buy your own place and rid yourself from the burden of rent.  Mine will be paid out soon and I will be free to quit the monkey cage.
