i have been mostly working on sketches instead of paintings,i'm sorta over fantasy at the momment and really getting into drawing urban landscapes of my old home of adelaide (south aus) heres a pen and ink i did [link]

Thanks! I actually didn't use a hubble shot for this. I do take some of those shots and make them into brushes then paint and use smudge tool until I get the desired cloud effect. I will take that as a sure compliment, thanks!

Sure it was compliment! Only After few minutes I have found some processed photos in the picture Nicely done.
I mean't right top galaxy, I guess it's Hubble one (I have the same one). That's all. M42 shot is probably yours

You have an absolutely fantastic eye! You are spot on about the galaxy off in the corner. It is not copy and pasted though, even though that probably would of been easier. I was still learning at the time I did this, so I referenced quite a bit If you put them back to back you can probably tell the difference. I know Hubble has a pretty hefty copyright law would not want to get in trouble Thanks again for taking a look and commenting. No, you have just randomly used well known objects to me.
Well I guess everyone has used this method in old times Now I'm concentrating on painting the most part of the picture, it's giving me better feeling, not just good looking work, but sometimes using photos to make it easier. I think Hubble pictures are not about copyright, it's morality. Without hubble there would be almost nothing we know about the universe today, any of those pictures full of pure beauty,
any of the work I did until now. Respect for him.

I agree, a very good point indeed Hubble and the cosmos deserve the respect. You are more than welcome, it's a pleasure. You are very hard on yourself. Everyone is their own worst critic, I know I certainly am when it comes to judging myself in things. Your pieces are unique and original and I like them.
