Description I have a feeling we interrupted his nap...

----

My second OOAK Art creature Toothless (from How to Train your Dragon)

I decided to try make my own toothy after seeing so many other beautiful plushies. And boy have I learnt a lot making him

I'm super happy with the result and love him to bits!

He has a wire armature and is fully posable, including wings, smaller side fins and tail.

His prosthetic tail, made of dear leather, has been strapped on and can be removed. It is also slightly posable with wire inside giving him the strength for complex aerial maneuvers.

Thanks, but it wasn't easy at all! It took ages as all hand sewn and I had to unpick and redo his tail.
I learnt a lot making him, and even though it took so long I had fun

Would you be willing to make more and sell me one? I LOVE him!!!!! That is THE best Toothless plush I have ever seen! Even better than the ones they sell in stores!!

Thank you so much
I'm not sure if I could make another as I'd be paranoid about getting it to look the same, which is hard with hand sculpted/crafted things, and it took a looooong time so i'd have no idea of the cost (probably too much!!)

I'd like to try make some one off dolls for people in the future, but not sure if I'm at that stage yet

Possibly I could try making a simplified chibi-style toothy in the future? price and sell it if there is interest?

Wow! You did a tremendous job on him, the stitching is so detailed and well done! This pose is adorable also!

Thanks, that means so much coming from such a talented sculpture as yourself

It was a lot of work stitching him up. I think I spent about 10 hrs one weekend just wrestling with his wings.

And omg - trying to hand stitch and turn out his back spines as I wanted to keep the texture detail perfect! I think I'm my own worst enemy!!!

Now I need to finish the other simple serpent doll I sculpted first. Funny enough once I started toothy I just couldn't put him down

Aw thanks! My first dragon attempt I made the wings from a shimmery toole type fabric and seeing it fraying all over I hand stitched the edge of every cm of the wings o_O; dear LORD I will never do that again! lol We all create and learn I guess!
