Anyway, onto your lovely drawing: Esme is an absolute vision in black. It's hard to believe a villainess hides behind that veil. It's rather funny how she claims to be in mourning, yet she's smiling.

Just so you know, the title of Book 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Dimension Jumps will be The Temporal Truant. It's an A Series of Unfortunate Events/Doctor Who crossover. Basically I took a "all the incarnations of The Doctor (so far) working together" story (done for the 10th Anniversary story The Three Doctors (1972), the 20th Anniversary story The Five Doctors (1983), the 1985 story The Two Doctors (featuring the Second and Sixth Doctors), the Missing Adventure Cold Fusion (featuring the Fifth and Seventh Doctors), the audio adventure The Sirens of Time (featuring the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Doctors), and the 2007 "mini-episode" of the new Doctor Who series, Time Crash (featuring the Fifth and Tenth Doctors)) & added a crossover element to the plot.

If you can get DVDs of Doctor Who, you'll see what I'm talking about. Basically, The Doctor is a time-travelling alien whose time machine looks like a British phone booth (the camouflage system is busted). He goes everywhere, protecting others throughout time & space. If injured severely enough, his healing process not only heals the injury, it changes his voice & physical appearance.
