Description Apophysis 2.06c | FastStone Image Viewer for Signature and JPEG conversion

The companion piece to Order .

This is one of seventeen test renders I produced trying to make this concept work. I also gave up on the quality of this piece, too.

I absolutely love this, like...alot. Wow, I am surprised that a fractal in this style really captures my eye.

Hmm...I may have to request this one as a print, my dorm room is lacking some artwork.

Thanks kindly!

I actually intend on submitting this one as a print...at some point. I'm working on a calendar at a moment and the rendering process for this piece was rather, erm, traumatic, so I have been putting it off.

Calender sounds good anyway, I'm in need of one of those as well, and the price for art here are so much cheaper than other sites. I'll wait for that calender, I'm assuming it will be a 2008, right?

were the shadows done in Photoshop or what?

ClaireJones In reply to CorazondeDios [2007-09-22 20:27:01 +0000 UTC]

The shadows were created entirely in Apophysis. I have a tutorial on the technique, actually.

I do slightly prefer "Order" overall: but the spiral in the top left of this is completely fascinating

ClaireJones In reply to WelshWench [2007-09-15 02:06:17 +0000 UTC]

I think I prefer Order as well, but I twisted the Curl transform around and found this one. I was intrigued with the difference in design. That's when I got the idea of having two separate renders for my "Order & Chaos" concept.

I'm glad you like this piece!

NEAT!!!! There's some blur it, and it give it some 3d quality. It's like shaped pieces of paper stacked together chaotically. Wonderfully done, Claire

LOL! I didn't use any scripts. It's actually a tweak from an earlier flame I almost used for my tutorial. I was messing around with the old flame and happened to get little spirals everywhere. I used curl to further manipulate the pattern. The actual flame is not nearly so interesting!

Thanks!

I had originally intended to have the "Order & Chaos" twins be prints, but I'm just not ready to go through the pain of rendering them in Flam3. I've already spent two days rendering about 40 renders between the two, trying to work out the kinks. Hopefully, I will get around to it soon, though.
