out of curiosity, i tried photoshop... and i absolutely hate it.
some of the effects are awesome, and it has really good brushes, but it lacks in the lineart department. as well as the fact that its a lot harder to change brushes quickly. gimp is made of win

Just type Stamp Template into dA search and find one you like, open it in GIMP and play with the layers. Once you have that down, you can figure out how to make your own template, that's what I'm doing. I found a great template, Shiny_Stamp_Template_by_
