Description YCH Auction winning piece for TheGreatVescryll of his black dragon character, Fyrling.

The original piece was painted to be daylight, however TheGreatVescryll requested that a darker, stormier feel to the environment would suit the encounter better. And thus, the poor unsuspecting gypsy, Kyssa, stumbled upon the great and fierce Fyrling whom seemed not at all impressed at the intruder to his territory.

Oh my gosh, it's so well done!

Just the tense feeling alone, of Fyrling readying his flame and Kyssa looking upon him, waiting for the right moment for whatever she may have planned - I lean closer, hoping to see more, but it's only a still image, after all! xP
I love how you drew Fyrling's anatomy - true to his character, he's certainly not a dragon I'd want to get anywhere near, for fear of being crushed just from being near his entire frame! The scarring is spectacular as well! ^^
Speaking of the flame, it's so pretty! Really awesome effects there! I can imagine the warmth that Kyssa must be feeling just from looking at Fyrling's readied flame.
Goodness, how did poor Kyssa get herself into this situation?
Also, what sort of creaure is Kyssa, out of curiosity? : o Is she a fox?

The rain visuals are spot on - I love the blur! And what a time to see this, as it's been fairly rainy over here, and I love rain!
The light mist of impacting rain along the ground adds a nice touch of ambience, too! And the little highlights on Fyrling's body from the lighting are just so pretty and compliment his solid, shiny-from-the-rain body, allowing his threatening silhouette to have a bit of a glimmer - a literal silver lining, if you will xP And though the weather makes everything around them harder to see, the scene is still there to see, especially the mountains in the distance! o3o

Really fantastic work as always, Clarity ^^ The wait was well worth it, and I certainly would have been okay with waiting longer if I had to!
Would definitely commission/enter YCH again x3 Keep up the awesome work!

Wow, that is insanely high praise! The fact that you're watching the scene, waiting for more to unfold. This means I captured quite a bit of motion and scene in this piece. I am very incredibly glad.
Well in your references, he is incredibly scarred. To me this says he's eaither weak and gets picked on, or is fierce and likes to stake his claim in the world by asserting physical dominance over others. I went with the latter feel

Kyssa is a fox She was meant to be some random character to make, but after painting her I quite like her a lot xD Sooooo in my headworld, Kyssa is Adalard's love interest (my other fox character).

<3
Thank-you for the high praise. I enjoyed reading this to see what aspects and details you appreciated most.

It's all just so well done - feels so dynamic - more than deserving of the praise!
And yeah, he's quite the meanie :c

Oh, interesting! Would stories and arts of Kyssa and Adalard on all sorts of wild adventures be a possile thing to expect in the future? I think that'd be cool to see : o
Several of my characters were the same - originally intended to be one-off characters, but I liked them so much that they became actual characters xD

You are most welcome! ^^

oooooooo~ fierce image o.o

I actually made Adalard aaaages ago with a whole story set out for him. He's got a lot of history in my mind, lots of adventures. I actually created him with the intention of using him as motivation to start up a webcomic. However.... he's in a steampunk-type universe and I really suck at drawing mecha xD
But maybe in future When I have time enough to write out stories, I may throw literature at people with some 'banner art'. Like publish chapters at a time, rather than webcomic.
So it's a definite maybe. xD

ooo, exciting insights :3 Steampunk worlds are always interesting ones!

I look forward to it then - perhaps it'll be the inspiration and motivation I require for a comic of my own, haha.
