Yeah I made this comic to reflect on most classic Sonic fans who have a bad attitude towards the way Sonic is going right now. This isn't about classic Sonic fans in general! This is about fans who are obsessed with everything classic about Sonic and hate everything new about Sonic, including the fans who like the new stuff. I'm also sick of the whole "Sonic is dead" bullshit.EDIT: LOL I'm getting so much butthurt from a certain classic fag. Keep commenting dude, your making my comic famous

YES! And the classic games had flaws too. I remember when I was in Upper Elementary school my teacher let me play his Sega Genesis he had in his 20's, I was playing the first "Sonic the Hedgehog" game when suddenly the game froze and said "Illegal Instruction" which scared the crap out of me. Im not saying it's a bad game. I think it's good.

Most of them always get mad when Sega tries anything with Sonic. They go and rage about Colors, Generations, Lost World, and unleashed.
The Games are fantastic, but some "fans" pretty much hate everything about it. It shows he much faith they have when they say Sonic is completely dead after Boom, but as long as Sega makes another game and tries to improve I have faith.
You go, Sonic.

I hate that too, if Sonic really was dead, why would he still get new games, characters and still have so many fans? Classic Sonic basically is dead ever since Sonic Adventure because Modern Sonic now is official but the Sonic Franchise is not.

I won't say Classic Sonic is dead because both Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic are really the exact same guy. Modern Sonic is basically an older Classic Sonic (you can tell this because Modern is taller than Classic). Sadly though the Classic SonicΒ fabrats can not understand this.Β Β

What I actually meant by saying "Classic's dead", was that SEGA will likely never go back to him/make another game that's like the one's from the classic era (unless there's a Sonic Generations 2). Still nice that you agree with the rest Β

I do remember someone saying that. I'm glad too. The more that Modern Sonic and company appears in good games, the more love they will. (Let's just hope that IGN will stop reviewing Sonic games, they bash things that more fans want in games and SEGA listens to thinking that is what the fans, when really is isn't).

Does IGN really give that bad reviews? I've never read any of theirs (I usually don't care about what critics say anyway) but I think I once saw a review of Secret Rings, my memory might fail me but I remember them saying it was great Β

They do. On one of their reviews they give Sonic Unleashed, a fun and great Sonic game, a lower score the Sonic 06. GLITCHY, FULL OF PLOT-HOLES Sonic 06. (The score was 4.8 for 06 and the score for Unleashed was 4.5)Β Β
I can kind of understand about Secret Rings because the controls are difficult (I would know I have that game and I keep failing on itΒ ), but the story and Sonic's personality in that game was great.Β Β
I do n't listen to video game critics either and is the main reason, especially for Sonic.Β

They give Unleashed a lower score than SONIC 06?!?! SONIC 06!!!??? Β Β No, just NO! From now on, whenever someone uses IGN as a source to convince me that a Sonic game is good/bad, I will ignore that.
But the controls are the only thing about Secret Rings that make it so bad, I can barely play it for 1 hour because I keep on failing and have to calm down with playing Unleashed.

Good choice.Β Β I mean, I know people at IGN are just trying to make a living, but whenever it comes to Sonic, especially Modern, it is like they want to poke fun at something for laughs and they choice our blue hedgehog and his company as their target (I can under poking fun at 06 and Shadow's game, but they should really do better job with reviewing other Modern games, espically ones most fans enjoy).Β
I know that feeling, I have both games (on the original Wii) and I have n't finished them for those same reasons.Β

I have already finished Unleashed but it took me so long, about 2 years I think. Getting every S-rank was the hardest (looking at you, Eggmanland) as well as getting all the items, but I doubt I will finish Secret Rings this decade.

You're lucky. Β Eggmanland is the reason why I have n't beat it yet. It took me a long time to beat the day stages and I'm having been trouble with the night stages.Β Β

The night stages were difficult too, esspecially the second or third one where you need to swing at those small poles on a wall around a corner from a 3/4 perspective, it took me forever to beat that part I allways kept falling into the pit and then somewhen after many failed tries, I realised that you don't even have to use the poles, you can simply jump over the abyss and get to the other side with the right timing and when you take a perfect run-up Β

Β There, there. I remember having that problem too. The night/werehog stages were new at time. It takes a while know all the new skill and getting use to them. That was one of the points it being there. To give us gamers a new challenge and make the game different from others.

Exactly, they wanted to give us a new challenge, and they did well with it. It was a long way getting every abillity for the Werehog and getting used to the new gameplay-style, which made it so much fun.

I honestly prefer Classic Sonic's design over Modern Sonic's. This doesn't mean I like the Classic games better, just the old design. It really bugs me that nobody appreciates the new games, just because they're not as good as their childhood games. I get bored and frustrated with the Classic games because you could be running along with no rings and then all of a sudden, spikes kill you.
The picky fans want the old Sonic, but it's obviously never going to happen. those "fans" are forgetting about this new generation of gamers, aka, the kids of today. They're not going to want the old Sonic because they expect more from a video game. I know very well that change can be hard to except, but do people seriously have to go and complain about it? And to these nostalgic fantards, everything related to the new Sonic sucks. They even say it before a game is out "because it has Modern Sonic". And why would they claim "Sonic is dying"? That's the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. So, just because the games aren't like the "perfect and flawless" classic games means that "Oh the series sucks now". What a statement. But then you ask "how does the game suck?" And they reply "It just does". Wooowwww great reasoning and logic there. Even saying he sucks because of his design? Wow. His new design is perfectly fine. No matter how hard SEGA try, they still can't make their "fans" happy. It's just really sad, all in all.
