Description A westbound Metra Scoot led by an EMD F40PH hits the diamond where the UP's triple track crosses the former J's Outer Belt in West Chicago. Waiting for the Scoot is a CN track inspection Hi-Rail pickup.

This picture was harder to take that I expected. The trains move fast through here and digital shutter delay is an annoying reality.

RATTLE RATTLE!

Quite annoying in cities with large amounts of trams. One could make intersections which are crossed by trams rolling only on their wheel flanges, or use the old ones, shaking the entire neigborhood apart

It's actually pretty interesting. There are houses within about 50 metres of this very busy crossover. Imagine hearing this all night and all day.

Not bad for not using an SLR. I know how tough it is to time those things without direct shutter control.

I have a picture of one of those and I never really knew what it was since it was dark out.

Strangely the picture has disappeared and I have no clue where it went.

It's probably in the box with my photo of ACL E-unit #501 in Champion purple sticking it's nose out of Chicago's Union Station. I've looked and looked and looked and can't find it. There has to be another box of slides somewhere in this house.

This must be with a P&S? Still you nailed it at the right moment.

Nope. It's a Lumix FX30. Not an SLR though.
