Description The memories are great but trains today are impressive as all get-out too. A couple of you know this spot in Wheaton where the C&NW comes under the CA&E. Course it's the UP now and the CA&E is a bike path... but it's still a cool place to take pictures. One of my earliest photos with a Brownie was from the bridge here.

A long string or empty spine cars eastbound from Global III.

Thanks. A few folks here on devArt have really inspired me to try and look at things in different ways. Some of my older stuff was really boring.

Thanks. The SD70's just exude strength... like a large brick wall coming at you.

Hehe, we actually have an engine around here that has numerous nicknames, making fun of it's shape, such as "roaring brick" or "power container" Even though it is probably more powerful than these guys, as electrics usually are, it looks all but powerful, more like a brick on wheels

Nice shot, Chris!

I know a lot of people don't like the 70ACes, but to me, visually, they are impressive beasts.

I agree. That big flat face is quite something coming at you and then leaning into the curve.

Lead unit... yes.

Second unit is 2914... a SD40 Tunnel Motor.

If you look at my Journal, most road names are hotlinks to roster pages so you can see where I get my info.
