Description There is nothing more Central Illinois that a straight line single track main splitting cornfields to the horizon. I'm standing on the EJ&E which crosses over the IC here at Munger .

For some reason it seems like the IC took a long time to decide to use the C-C wheel arrangement. These 3 units were part of a large fleet of GP9s.

The 9302 looks like a high hood GP18...I remember these from when the Chicago Central took over! Those were fun daze!

Your comment makes me laugh. The IC actually did get a batch of GP18's, the 9400 series, and they looked almost exactly the same as this but had 50 more horses.

A trio of ubiquitous GP9s. It took the IC a long time to go for C trucks.
