ATC Fabric Chickadee (A)I have been wanting to do this, for the longest time. These will definitely go in my show....I bought some discontinued swatch catalogs from a local remnant store and every single swatch screams out to become a work of art.....
These are involved...maybe I'll do a tutorial if you all are interested....
They are not mounted on cardboard, they are 'stiffened' with a fabric stiffener. this particular one still has a bit of the paper backing from the swatch, I couldn't get it all off. I wanted them to be fabric, not paper.
Hand stitched, not glued, EXCEPT the edges so they wouldn't frey...then the stiffener to seal them as well.
As soon as I am done with all the ATC's for my show I will make some for trade....

What a neat idea! And good subject choice; these are among my top favorite birds. They sing and visit the feeder even in the dead of winter, no matter how cold.

I adore this set! This one especially. Do you embroider? Some embroidered details, especially in the face would make these outstanding. Not that these aren't great as is... just trying to help with the critiquing.
