Description The de Havilland Chipmunk was introduced in 1946 as the replacement for the Tiger Moth trainer aircraft.

Chipmunks were made in Britain by de Havilland, in Canada by de Havilland Canada, and in Portugal by OGMA, with a total production of 1,283.

The Chipmunk was used by 20 air forces, and due to it’s reliability and stability remained in service until 1972.

This example is a Chipmunk of the Portuguese Air Force 1960.
