Bastila Shan from Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic.I think this is one of my best pictures. It was quite difficult, but worth it.
I think I could have made the background much better, but the file was getting too big, and my ancient computer could not handle more than a few layers at this size.
I made her lightsaber blue because yellow highlights would not show up well on her suit. Also, fun fact: blue lightsabers are the best.
Since I tried really hard on this, please leave a comment, and please don't steal this picture.

She's awesome! Great posture and the shadowing is cool! The lightsaber casts light in her like that, it's quite realistic. And the face is pretty too.

In Photoshop there's a really easy way to make the lightsaber - just placing the blade on a separate layer and making the layer have "outer glow". No idea if that works for your program, though.

From all the screenshots you post, I see that gimp and photoshop are very much alike. So drawing the blade mustn't be hard! xD

I was aiming for Jennifer Connelly, but Hale is good too. And probably way more appropriate.
