Description From Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic II, this is my take on Kreia. I made her slightly less corpsey looking.
I like this character. She wasn't the typical good or evil character. She was playing her own game, it would have been nice to know how things turned out, but they just had to make an MMO instead of a proper sequel to this unfinished game.

I think this is a wonderful piece. It was heavily implied that Kreia was Jedi master Kae who was described as beautiful and who is the mother of the handmaiden (who is lovely as well). Atton himself in the beginning of the game even quips that she might have been a beauty at one point, but the stress of life took that away from her. I like to think of thisΒ  piece as one of the last moments before the sorrows of exile and betrayals beset her.Β Β

Yeah, out of all the titles that need a sequel, this one was one of them in a major way. I love Kotor II with all my heart and it's a fantastic game but it is not an ending to a series at all, it needed a third game to close everything up and not just a plot thread in a few campaigns in a bloody MMO!

Sorry about that, onto the actual art. You really succeeded in making her look less horribly dead and I don't know if you planned it or not, but that smile coming from that woman makes me feel more uncomfortable than anything else she could do. It makes me feel like I'm seeing something that shouldn't exist lol. She also looks mysterious which fits her character and how you described her in your description; an enigmatic figure working for her own ends. Also, your art is so realistic! It legitimately looks like something I would see hanging in a gallery somewhere, it is that well done. Keep up the great work, man!

I would be willing to pay virtually anything they asked for just to get a third game; between the cliffhanger ending of II and the fact that we didn't get to see many of the characters we grew to love over the course of two games (point for trying Kreia, but telling me supposed visions of the future you see as you die isn't exactly the same) get any ending, let alone a happy one, really leaves a dark spot on what is otherwise a massive high-point in the Star Wars franchise as a whole.

I always liked the idea of Revan as Female, and Exile as male. Revan being a girl behind that mask ads an extra twist.
The whole concept of the Exile just seems so very male.

...and, Commander Shepard is definitely absolutely 100% a guyΒ  Β

I am, by no means an SJW, but I've always loved kickass female characters.

Fem-Exile works because the chemistry between her and Atton Rand just works way too well.

FemShep I prefer for three reasons...

1: She embodies the 'no political platform, just kickass woman' thing I like. I *HATE* it when a 'strong female character' is just a lawnmower that guns down hordes of faceless bad guys without suffering so much as a scratch or when they have to inject gender/identity politics into everything they do.

2: If I have the choice of watching the skintight-clad rear end of a guy or a girl for sixty hours... I'll take the lady, thanks.

3: The voice acting. I'm an audiophile and ManShep's voice is on par with the Avatar of Ultima 9 X_X;

lol... I like action females too.

The main reason I don't like FEM Shep is the voice acting. Jennifer Hale is usually amazing, but I think her Fem Shep sound like she's trying too hard. It sounds to me like a little girl impersonating her father.

The writingΒ  for Shepard clearly manly too. He's clearly a dude bro generic Marine. Fem Shep seems tacked on as an after thought for equality sake.Β  She's even animated like a man. Β

Kreia was an interesting character. She sort of fell apart when the ending of KOTOR2 fell apart.
As for the Illusive Man, he got a bit of a raw deal in part 3. After part 2 the natural progression of the game would have let you choose to either continue serving the Alliance, or continue joining with Cerberus. I guess that would be too much work, so they went with making the Illusive Man pure evil.

Not to sure about the emphasize on the chest department but otherwise very good

now my opinion on the games (cause why not?):

Kotor 1: I... did not play much of it by the time I got my hands on it was 2008 and it refused to work on my computer so...
Kotor 2: First one I got my hands on and loved it especially Kreias teachings and how her motivation and reasons to kill the force are not unfounded
SWTOR: Gameplaywise very avarage and while I do think the storylines were well done Β it had no reason to be part of the Kotor story as far as I was concern and had two storyreasons why it died to me: apperantly mandalorians post Ordo were idiots who decided that being allied with the people who manipulated them was a good idea... in other words they are as meatheaded as the orks from warhammer. Second they make you kill HK-47... that is just cruel

She, or rather your constrained choices with her, ruined that game. Β Bao-dur whining hurt it too.

Kreia was the main culprit though. Β I knew she was evil and wanted to kill her before we left the first planet, but I didn't't get the choice. Β At one point she brought the guys you just killed back to life while your party was still in the room, and none of the characters even noticed. Β I hate you Kreia!

clc1997 In reply to CheeseburgerTom [2014-06-18 14:04:07 +0000 UTC]

I think the original plan was to have Darth Traya be either Kreia or Atris, depending on your game choices.
Most of Kreia's evil deeds in the game come from her trying to protect The Exile. It's just at the end where her betrayal seems a bit random in certain play throughs.

A nice rendition of the character.

I do believe her story was resolved nicely at the end of KOTOR II, with the Exile killing her and either taking her place (dark side), leave Malachor aboard the Ebon Hawk (light side), or dying along with the planet.

(Yes I have played the game extensively)

clc1997 In reply to jeroenbrugman [2014-06-13 12:05:10 +0000 UTC]

thanks!

You have to play the game extensively to get most of the story elements out of it
I guess Kreis's part was resolved, with her getting killed and all. I think the rest is sort of a cliff hanger, the whole game they are afraid of an outside threat, and Exile leaves to seek it out but then there was no true part three. The ending does feel rushed and not very planned out compared to the rest of the game. The gamel-play is dull too by the time you get to Malachor V because you are so over powered compared the the enemies.

jeroenbrugman In reply to clc1997 [2014-06-16 09:55:43 +0000 UTC]

There are parts missing in the game. It is my understanding production was rushed due to a Christmas deadline.

I read in some designers notes that there is at least a whole story missing (Boa-Dur and HK-47's end story, which was set on the first real planet in the game (not the mining colony). There is a door in the planet side military facility that has a damaged HK50 droid in front of it when you first go there. The door doesn't do anything, but was supposed to open later to reveal the HK-50 production facility).

It is my understanding that the exile just disappears after the events of the game, looking for Revan beyond the outer rim, or having taken Traya's place on Malachor, or having been blown to bits along with it. From what I gathered I always figured Traya was the real threat Revan was looking for, but I could be wrong.
I also gathered that the crew members of the Ebon Hawk are the first masters of the new Jedi Order. You can get pretty much anyone to pick up a light sabre if you take the right angle (except for Canderous Ordo... eh Mandalore, the Wookie, and the droids) the trick is get enough good will with the crew, then get them to accept the force, and then take a side (they will follow).

I wish they would have done more with them though, a part 3 with them rebuilding the order would have been fun. Still, the market for single player RPG's seems a bit dead in the water, it's all MMORPG's these days.

Personally I like the feeling of omnipotence at the end of the game (but that could be just me), it's part of the trap set for the Exile. Traya wanted to lose, she just needs someone worthy to take her place.
