Description
As (Y/N) looked up at the stars, she thought to herself: “What if the stars fell to the ground along with the moon?” It was a crazy thought but, it intrigued her. From downstairs, her Mother had called and told her to go to sleep. Sighing, she did just that. (Y/N) was not looking forward to the morning at all. School sucked.
Morning arose and (Y/N) groaned. Her Mother sighed, ripping the sheets off. “Hurry up and get to school! One more late and you’re grounded.” Her Mother crossed her arms. Grumbling to herself, (Y/N) put her uniform on lazily and messily. Who cares about looks, right? Eventually, she got downstairs and attempted at finding some breakfast. “No, you’ll be late. Go now.” She scowled. “But, Mom…I need to eat in order to learn…” Biting her lip and clenching a fist, she was ready to burst out in tears. “Fine.” She contained her anger and slammed the door behind her. Damn, her stomach was growling. “So hungry…” (Y/N) sighed, gripping her stomach.
Once she made it inside the building, she went straight over to the vending machine for a snack. “Hmm…Nothing good…” Since the bell was about to ring she forgot about food and went to class on time, for once. “Is (F/N) here?” The Teacher looked around, trying to find her. Sticking her hand up, she made herself known. “Finally.” The Teacher muttered. She rolled her eyes in response. Why does no one understand? Why can’t they be decent? (Y/N) looked out the window, resting her cheek on her hand. Outside, there was a figure that fell from the roof, seemingly wearing a school uniform. Startled, she ran out of class screaming. “I feel sick!” Running down the stairs, she made her way outside the doors, slamming them open. After sprinting to the side of the school where the figure had fallen, she looked around.
“Was it my imagination?” After blinking a few times and looking around, she narrowed her eyes. After time passed, (Y/N) had found a piece of fabric on a nearby shrub. Taking a closer look she found a body behind the bushes. “Eep! Hello? Are you dead?” She panicked, trying to slap him awake. The male blinked a few time and revealed his lavender eyes. “Ah! Greetings!” He grinned. “Oh, uh, Hello! Do you know that you fell from the roof?” (Y/N) tilted her head. “Ah, yes I do! That was quite the fall but I’m fine. How are you?!” As his grin grew wider, he suddenly frowned. “Where’s my umbrella? And my mask…” Suddenly he got up and scavenged the ground thoroughly. She decided to help out so she got on her knees looking for the items. “How do you lose an umbrella and mask so easily, might I ask? And why do you even need those things in the first place?” (Y/N) questioned. “Ah! Well, they could have ended up anywhere when I had fallen. As for what I need them for…I don’t like looking like my brothers…they’re mean to me…” He sighed. “I see…” She frowned out of pity. “The umbrella is so that when the stars fall…I don’t get hurt!” Immediately (Y/N) turned to the male. “You think that too?! Everyone says that I’m stupid for thinking such a bizarre thing…” His eyes lit up with joy. “I’m Clear, by the way!” She smiled for the first time in quite a while. “I’m (Y/N)…”
When school passed, the two decided to go home together. “You know…I don’t really have a home to go back to. Thank you for inviting me!” Clear glanced over to (Y/N), giving a big smile. She felt pity towards Clear, due to his brothers. His brothers would bully him every chance they got, which was extremely saddening. “I’ll ask my mom if you’d be able to stay the night, I don’t want you going back to that house…” Clear shook his head. “I’m going to have to eventually. Don’t worry, I’m used to it.” (Y/N) interrupted the other with concern. “It’s not something you should get used to, Clear! It shows that you’ve given up, and that’s no good.” Tears began welling up in her eyes but Clear quickly smiled. “Don’t worry! There isn’t a need to cry…” The smile quickly faded and a tear fell down his cheek. “Oh…ahaha…what’s this? Am I crying? How silly…must be something in my eye.” Clear tried to stop his tears, but they kept falling and falling. “Come on Clear; let’s get you to my house to cool down…” She wiped away her tears, grasping onto his hand tightly. Clear whimpered lightly, but mustered a nod.
(Y/N)’s Mother rushed to the door. “You’re la-“ But stopped as soon as she saw Clear beside her daughter. “Who is this?” She crossed her arms in suspicion. “This is Clear, he’s my friend…I was wondering if he could stay the night due to…uh…home troubles.” Tapping her foot, her Mother eventually dragged the two inside. “I’ll make some tea; get him cleaned up, please.” (Y/N) got a wet cloth and wiped Clear’s face. “Are you going to be okay…?” Clear gave her a smile and waved his hands. “I’ll be perfectly fine. Don’t worry about it.” She rolled her eyes and got up. “You say that, but do you mean it?” A frown appeared on her face. “I do, Miss (Y/N).” She burst out laughing at his response. “W-What did I say?” He looked around frantically. “You called me Miss. I’m not old!” (Y/N) ruffled his hair then put the cloth away. Soon after, her Mother brought in mugs full of tea. “Hope you don’t mind such an ordinary flavor.” Clear shook his head, muttering a small ‘thank you’. Her Mother went back to her room watching TV, pretty much saying it was okay for Clear to stay. (Y/N) picked up a mug and sipped her tea. “You’re the first friend I’ve made, y’know.” Clear glanced over to her. “Really? Well, I’m glad to hear that! Especially because then I share an umbrella with you when the stars fall!” He grinned, patting her head. “For sure!” She giggled. “You can come over whenever you want, Clear. The door is always open for you. “Thank you…it means a lot.” He started tearing up once again, out of happiness. “Aww, Clear…you’re going make me…start…crying…” (Y/N) and Clear began sobbing together, releasing all the pain and stress that had built up over the years. “I’m just so glad…I’m not alone anymore…”
