I just like a small DoF mostly...and I didn't like the leaf it's sitting on . It would make the pic a little, eeeh, busy.

Thanks Leigh ! Great to hear you like this rather small DoF . I like it a lot too, but it's not everyone's thing, fortunately ! Always nice to see    how other people shoot things. That's what I like about DA... No rules

mmhmm! That and you get lovely ideas to try out yourself. Definitely a good place to learn and grow! For me it is just a hobby, but why not a hobby with a nice result? But I'm with you, I like the smaller dof too. Intense focus on one detail or set of details. Sometimes even makes the rest of the image seem surreal.

hahaha and you know what- it's a hobby that gets you outside, away from the computer and travelling! Which... can make it a little expensive- but hey what is life without a little flavor?

So true... I love being outside, but don't travel much. Guess all the pics here on DA (apart from the Zoo pics) were made within a circle of 2 kilometers from my house ... Not so expensive
