How many fields must I cross?
One, two, six, eight
I run, my paws are fleeting
Time is brief
Shadows are long
If I get a few is it enough?
Do others gather what I
...Cannot?

Is this a wish I should fulfil
A mouth still fed
A life kept still

Enemies and friends alike
Fall in crimson from the blight
They are weak.
And I am not,
Surely the hands of time shall stop

But they did stop.

In the recent months of the plague beginning; Astera has grown from free-loading shit talker to a rather dependable kilti. Kinda of.
Proving her metal as a scout of sorts, she spends the passing moon traveling in search of herbs, and reporting the goings on of Tundes and their well-being; in doing so she wonders if she is doing enough for her pack, and if Tundes is truly and enemy or a friend. They have lost so many along the way she finds herself lying awake at night, wondering what this could all mean, if all their loses were worth it. It has come to an end, but are the god's satisfied?

I haven't tried poetry in a while, so I gave it a crack; trying to see how Astera would feel. Um it's kind of cheesy? ahhh /w\''
