I wonder if you would mind if I based a tattoo on this design which is exquisite. I would like to take this to my tattoo artist....

I used lost wax casting, with jewelry gypsum investment, I always us vacuum casting (since thats what I have), the item is cast in bronze 90:10 copper tin.

Ah, thats what i thought but i wasnt sure. Not the vacumm part, just the lost wax. And so i would like to know: how much would you say it costs to start a lost wax foundry. I think i would need a kiln? And the ceramic slurry, and the furnace. I was going to start a snd casting foundry before, but i have to rethink what type since i need to cast something called a keyblade like the ones in my gallery.

For something that size you would need a very large metal furnace (something similar to sculpture sizes) and probably a pottery size burn-out oven, the pour whole thing would be a two man affair, moving the mold pouring the metal ect. It gets a lot more costly the larger you go. I would recommend getting a couple good books on lost wax casting before buying any equipment.

Thank you, that helped more than you know. I was already planning on Building a big furnace, but i still need to upgrade the blower i have now.
