I'm enjoying your website, just finished "Art Attack" and a "A Stoppable Vacation". Your Kim seems to have a bit of a sadistic streak in her, she's rougher on her opponents than most other fanfic authors have her be. Maybe you're just more realistic.

Okay, the new improved Rufus head is on Ron's shoulder. Apparently I had his eyes too close together, and the top of his head between his eyebrows a bit too high. I gave him a continuous outline, moved his eyes and redrew his eyelids, and made him a little more sleepy looking as this fit his pose.

Most probably I was thinking of a woman I was interested in in 1979. She had dark brown hair and a nose like an Archaic Greek Kore statue, if anyone. I think I first mentioned Yvonne as Belinda's roommate in "Reward," which I probably wrote before I became aware of your character. I'm thinking Yvonne may be another black woman like Monique, but I'm not sure yet. I had to give her a name when Belinda, Felix, Kim, and Ron started playing musical rooms at Mathom House. And yes, I did borrow the hobbitish word "Mathom" from Tolkien for the dorm, just because it had the right feel.

i really like how you did the shading on kim's hair. your style's very unique, it looks like its coming along nicely

Multiple layers.
Bottom layer: A lighter than normal big green dot on white for the irises.
Layer 2: A "wagon wheel" in fine blackish green, blurred slightly with gaussian blur.
Layer 3: A small black dot in the center of the "wagon wheel"
Layer 4: A soft white ellipse to about 2 ocklock on the wagon wheel, layer patially transparent
Layer 5: Soft brush black shading, layer very transparent to make light gray.
Kim's skin is the layer on top of all this.
Ron's freckles were on a separate layer, done with one of the "dry stiff brushes," selectively erased till it looked right.
Now you know.
A lot of the look of this pic came from one of the "chalk" brushes, enlarged or shrunk from its right size, and in the case of Kim's hair, selectively smudged
