The release of The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug draws near...we've already seen (basicly) the big bad dragon in (one of) the previews...and yet I continue with my own designs for Smaug. Every time I listen to An Unexpected Journey's soundtrack, I find myself drawing this creature.
This time, I drew up an image of the dragon that pops into my head when I read the book. (Note the gems on the underside of his neck.) Huh, this doesn't look too different from the first design I came up with, does it....

And yep, still counting down the days until the release of Desolation Of Smaug. Can't wait to see Smaug (in full), can't wait to see Mirkwood, can't wait to see Laketown, can't wait to see Stephen Fry's performance as the Master(XD)...aaaaand I can't deny that I'll be happy to see my favorite Elf, Legolas, yet again. X3 A different Elf, however.... â•¬

Hmm? Hey, a year ago today, the first Hobbit movie premiered in New Zealand. (Correct?) That's a premier I regret being unable to attend....
