Description
Another river piece, the water making a sharp bend around the wooded bit in the middle. The river we kayak on is very twisty, with many tight curves like this. Sometimes I come around a bend and can look both up and down the river at the same time. I like the curve and swing of this piece.Mostly Amate bark. Hunter green Lokta background, and jade Stardream brush and edges to the trees.

Oh, thank you! All the cutting is done with an Exacto knife. It's a lot like drawing with a blade instead of a pencil - in fact, the resistance of the paper makes it a lot easier to get a smooth line when I'm cutting out than when I'm drawing! I can't remember the quote or who said it, but I didn't originate this: if you love what you're doing, it doesn't take patience, it's just what you want to be doing. And I love playing with paper.
