Last year, I jokingly suggested Derrick working on Rex's OV design for his fundraiser together, and he casually accepted it. (twitter.com/clover_karin/statu… ) Although it didn't work out in the end, I tried to complete the fundraiser in place of my dear friend and hero by fan designing an Omniverse version of Rex. However, Derrick's approach would have been a lot different from this. Rex’s original design was too bland to him, so he would’ve taken a lot more drastic take instead.

The idea was that Rex is now somewhere between his original form and full Omega form as he’s much more experienced with nanites. The overall design was based on his original outfit and Omega EVO design, the Providence uniform, and a little bit of his early concept art.
