This is a picture that I drew a while back, and just never got posted.

It's inspired by this song by Skillet, called Monster [link]

It's so true, there are times (often times), when I'm so ashamed of the selfish things that I do, that I can't help but feel like some kind of monster. Like it's just beneath my skin, and I can only just keep it in.

Jesus said that we'll be wiped clean, like a slate that can be written on from a new beginning, but sometimes I can't help but feel like there's still some of those old words showing through. I think it's important to remember that he didn't just grab a napkin and rub the chalk off, he said we were white as snow. That's a radically different kind of clean. That's not just "Oh, here, lemme rub off this dirt", that's being submersed in fire and cleansed with a purifying force like nothing Billy Mays could EVER conceive of.

I may not be perfect, but even with all the demons and monsters inside of me, God still loves me regardless of it all. Yeah, times get tough, but that's because he wants me to learn to get tougher. It's not punishment for being human.

All I can do is ask forgiveness, and ACTUALLY TRY to be better, and I know He'll provide for me! GOD IS GREAT!!
