Deal with the price. If I'm going to make a fully customized one (which would include things like line edits) I'm going to make it worth my while, and I'm not in a position where I can just give away my recent work.
As for the tracing/theft, I have to deal with that risk for everything I post. This is hardly a new obstacle, and if that was all I considered I would not be able to post my art online at all.
