Description A simple illustration of Hogarth and how he has grown in 5 years. The older version of him is in another artwork of mine called "Waiting for you my Friend".

If you say he's 5 years older, then the story of the second movie would be in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis...just like the original one was set on the week following the Sputnik launch in 1957.

I had imagined the sequel taking place in 1967 during the Vietnam War, making him TEN years older instead of FIVE. Still, cool drawing, and "The Iron Giant" is easily one of my favorite movies of all-time.

I was thinking the same thing! I think that would be an interesting setting to set a sequel around. It tough making a war film family friendly, but I would like to see both Hogarth and IG go off and defend their together as a team.

Maybe on top of that, the third one would be in 1977 and I would see Hogarth, Dean, and Annie (along with the Giant) taking a family vacation to LA to see the premiere of Star Wars at the Chinese Theater before a huge invasion of other iron giants takes place in the middle of LA and it's then up to Hogarth and the original Giant to save the day from there

Let’s not get too carried away. We can dream of one, but I don’t think Mr. Bird won’t be convinced in making a sequel.

Of course not. This is just how I would see it going.

Interesting concept, Christie!
Kinda gives us the idea of how we would see Hogarth in a sequel of any form.

I actually created the design for a cosplay to wear at a convention, along with the Iron Giant's bolt to go with it. Also, I don't like to be called any nicknames, Lol, but thank you for the compliment. 😊

Well, no offense, but I can’t deny how β€œChristina” can be a mouthful at times.

I just have a tendency to come up with nicknames to make things easier.

I understand that, but please, no nicknames for me.

I don’t suppose you have any further ideas for future pieces in the field of Steamboy characters, but I have a suggestion:
A follow-up to the cliffhanger from years ago?
