Description Hello everyone, I'm sorry its been a while, but here is my most recent work. This is actually an artwork based on a new cosplay that I've made for Anime Matsuri XI in Houston, TX.
I'd imagine that it would take a long time for the Iron Giant to find all of his pieces. Depending on how slow each piece can move, it would probably take a few years to put himself back together. Whats sad though is that he is keeping Hogarth waiting all that time, hoping that his dear friend will return and find him someday. While coping with ever day life, making people think that he has moved on, and holding onto the hope of the Iron Giant's return, Hogarth's life might would seem pretty tough. He knows that the Iron Giant can put himself back together again, and he figures it would take some time, Hogarth is still able to keep his hopes up and remains waiting for his dear friend to come home to him.

Nice drawing here. The Iron Giant is easily one of my all-time favorite movies, mainly because of its message of individuality and agency.

Poor Hogarth. While he knows the Giant can fix itself, Hogarth must be having a really hard time waiting for the big guy to return to Rockwell.

There should be a sequel!

It would be better than a live action remake, but right now The Iron Giant should remain on a level of greatness all in its own. If Brad Bird wanted to make a sequel, I'm sure he would have to think of a storyline that would be a marvelous follow up to the first film.

Let's say that Hogarth is now a grown man with a wife and children. It is set in the 80s.

I think the giant would return, and Hogarth is in his 20s, and both agree to help the army with a special task as long as the two of them stay together. If all goes well, the story would time jump to the 80s, showing that Hogarth has started a family, and that the giant is back home with him and considered a citizen of Rockwell.

Here is my idea: In 1987, 30 years after the original movie, Hogarth is now an adult living in New York stuck in a dead-end job as a sales clerk with a wife and a son, Hogarth Hughes Jr. Hogarth Jr. is a lot like his father when he was 9. One day, the Iron Giant returns because of a crisis: A meteor is heading towards Earth. Hogarth and the Giant are contacted by the Military due to the situation. Hogarth Jr. saves the day in the end and they move back to Rockwell where the Giant is made a citizen and comes back home with Hogarth Sr. and lives with the Hughes family.
