Remember, when you find a cute baby thing, sometimes it's best to leave it alone since Mama is probably hanging around nearby Pretty happy with how this came out overall, was pleased with this random gradient that worked out to bring more of a fleshy tone to the kraken. I had set up another gradient layer set to normal to help give some sense of occlusion in the depths over the lights as they shown on the kraken babies (krakenlings?), then I duplicated that and set it over the main eye socket area and adjusted the blending mode and opacity..viola, instant flesh tone and the piece is a bit less monochromatic

Video will be coming later, it's a bit late and the internet has been real slow tonight so I'll try to do the upload tomorrow.
