Description This is a piece I recently made for the Art Order Tethered by Letters contest as a potential cover for the book F(r)iction 2. The contest called for an underwater theme which related a sense of discovery and the danger lurking in the ocean's depths. The piece is a wraparound cover, with the right most portion being the front (where the scuba guy is) and the left half being the back. Entering was a real treat, and I can't wait for the next contest.

Can't deny, this is somewhat how I think of deep sea creatures! This is just incredible as it really captures the horrific potentials down there, and I love seeing how small the diver is compared to the beast. This also brings to mind H.P. Lovecraft's Dagon.

Love me some H. P. Lovecraft! I got a big anthology of his short stories back in high school and did several projects based on his stuff. I also remember loving the Dark Corners of the Earth game based on The Shadow over Innsmouth.

Thank you!

Glad to know you're also a fan of Lovecraft. I've got a few books of his; I'm currently writing my own novel that's very much inspired by Lovecraft horror.
