Ruler of the sand, Sandor controls all of its inhabitance. He lives under the sand so no one can touch him in his sandy domain. He has often been jealous of Dialga for being the ruler of time. He believes that the power of the sand should also control time as well. One day he confronted Dialga with his army of ground type pokemon and attacked. The battle ensued for over a month until Sandor was finally defeated.

Before Dialga could give the final blow, Arceus intervened. The weak Sandor watched helplessly as Arceus said his punishment. "Sandor, your greed and ambitions have caused great destruction and unstability to the universe. As punishment, you will no longer be a pokemon of legend."

As he spoke Sandor's powers started being zapped from him, being absorbed into Arceus. His form also changed and he grew smaller. "Wha? What are you doing to me?! My powers, their disappearing."
"I am taking your powers. You will no longer be one of us. From now on you will be known as Flygon, an ordinary pokemon."
"An ordinary pokemon?!?! No you can't!!!" he pleaded.
"This is the price you pay for your ambition. Farewell." At that time Arceus and Dialga flew away, leaving Flygon alone in the sandy desert.

As to this day no one remembers the great ruler of the desert nor do his decendants. Rumor has it that he is still alive living under the sand in solitude. trying to burying his horrid past.
