Description 'But what about us?! What if the spites get in?! Mom is the strong one!'

Over and over of what Felix said that night when Spites were roaming the area around their cabin would continue to replay in Savio's mind. The terror in his brother's voice where it nearly sounded like he was on the verge of panic due to their mother not being present at the time to help fend off against the swarm of spites. His brother made it sound like that without Rin they're completely vulnerable and defenseless...

...

And yet, it's the truth, isn't it? Or at least, most of it. Rin is the one who trains practically on a regular basis, she goes out hunting to improve her agility and stamina as well as her stealth. She even knows Earth and Fire Magic. It essentially does make her the strong one in the family. Which means she's heavily relied on the most.

However, in Savio's mind it's not good to rely on just one person to defend a whole group. He knows that they can't always rely on their mother for everything. One way or the other, they have to defend themselves for whatever trouble they'll encounter on their own.

Not only that- but it's not like their parents will be around forever to protect them from anything. He admits that that's a forlorn thought to process. But the truth is hard to swallow.

Reflecting on such a thought is simply reminding him that there's a plague currently spreading through Wynsiph at the moment, and that those who grew peculiar glands on their bodies are suffering a lot from it. Which may likely be the case with their mother right now since Rodimus came home without her, albeit with a paper in his mouth that gave them a clue of her whereabouts. He can only hope and pray that she'll make it out of it and survive the plague.

...

He wouldn't admit this to anyone but himself, but- he feels that he'd feel lost without his family; if the plague took away his parents and brother, that he emotionally wouldn't recover from it too well if it were to happen. Losing them would feel as though that it would crush him...

Tears tried to escape out of the corner of his eyes the more he thought about it. He rejectively shook his head and rubbed his eyes.

He doesn't want to think about any of that, period. Not until the current state of Wynsiph gets miraculously resolved. And for his mother to come back from it.

His mind was too exhausted at this point to contemplate any further for the night. Additionally, it doesn't help that he has been having constant pains reoccuring in his limbs over the last few weeks and he doesn't know why. He hasn't bothered bringing it up with his father or brother. It's probably nothing serious, yet it doesn't change the fact how irritating it is for these pains to keep coming back. He can only hope that these pains will go away eventually...

His eyes point up staring at the night sky where its illuminance passes through the window. He closes his eyes with one more thought on his mind...

"I have to become strong to fend for myself, and for my brother..."
