"Almost there...! Almost there!!"

A shame that no one could've anticipated for what has transpired. A horrific beast that came out of nowhere causing havoc in town. Spites are on the bloody loose, spreading harm to anyone in sight. Casper just wanted to go on a short flight since he loves flying at night. But the second that Red Moon spawned in the night sky and word quickly got out about the attack of the Deelagun, he knew that he immediately had to return home back to Scott and Soleil and make sure they're safe. To be there for them. To protect them.

"Come on, dammit!! Scott and Soleil could already be in danger and I'm NOT there for them!!!" he scowled, trying to force the strength in his wings to help him get home fast. It certainly doesn't help that the thought of his son and boyfriend could potentially encounter a Spite at any moment since he's not there. And because Scott has no experience in any magic, Casper is the only one who can help ward off those ugly Spites to defend his loved ones. He wouldn't know what he'd do with himself if he lost both Scott and Soleil...

The thought of losing them caused a spike in Casper's adrenaline. The loud flap of his wings became louder with Casper trying to boost himself harder. It's only a matter of time before his wings grow exhausted. He'll worry about that as soon as he gets to his son and boyfriend.
He was able to make it to town, albeit, trying to fly past it to avoid getting caught in the fight against the Deelagun. He'd rather leave the fighting to those who are good at honing their own. That's something that Casper lacks, and he'd rather not get in anyone's way if he were to attempt to go up against the Deelagun.

"Gotta get past it...! Just need to get past where the Nova Tree is and leave town!" he grimaced as he continued to try and fly past the area where the Deelagun is said to be.

"Scott and Soleil... Please be ok- WHOA!!!"

A mass of orange flame was shot in his direction aiming straight for him, forcing him to dive to avoid getting burned. The feather tip of his tail almost got caught if he hadn't tucked it close between his legs.
His wings spread wide open to catch himself mid-air from the dive. "Alright!! What the actual-" his brief glance at the Deelagun turned into a horrible realization. "Oh, sweet milk & honey..."

Casper found himself within a reasonable distance from the Deelagun when he took a dive to evade the fire that was clearly aimed for him. The beast evidently must've spotted him in the air when it attempted to shoot him down. Well, it worked. And now the gro finds himself at a rather tight situation to deal with. As if he didn't already have enough to worry about. Now he has to find a solution to squeeze his way out of this.
As far as he knows, this beast won't allow him to leave easily.

"C'mon, Cas! Think!!" He gritted his teeth in frustration trying to concoct a plan to escape out of the Deelagun's sight. There's a bit of doubt that any use of Wind Magic can actually help him in this. "I need to get out of this and get to Scott and Soleil! They need me!!"
The mouth of the beast gradually turned color, the color that was immediately beginning to illuminate and build up heat that even Casper can feel from just a mere chill dancing up his spine. He didn't know what to do but he had to act fast!

Finally, the beast was charged and released a hot breath of fire, once again going for a direct aim at the flying gro. "I guess we're doing this then!!" He flew upwards before taking another dive in the air to keep the fire off of his tail. Unfortunately, the beast was surprisingly able to keep up with him and continued to release a series of flames one after the other. With every hot breath released the Deelagun would make the flames go in peculiar motion, making it very difficult on the gro to dodge. Casper tried to go as fast as he can avoiding the flames, but the amount of force he pushed upon his wings previously were growing tired. Regardless, he had to try and find a way out of this or else he'll never be able to get home to his family.

"Ugh! Bite me where it hurts. I can't believe I'm about to do this...!" He had an idea and he was not going to like it. A simple plan but he's still not going to enjoy it. "Hey!! You hideous grotesque black licorice!! Over here!!" yelling as loud as he could to have the beast's eyes on him. The beast successfully locked on to the gro and was about to exhale more fire from its mouth. Casper used his wings to flap hard enough to cause a strong gust of wind to smack the eyes of the beast.

The Deelagun let out a nasty roar when the hard gust of wind hit its eyes, causing its eyes flicker many times. "Perfect!!" Casper briefly rejoiced. "Now to make sure it doesn't 'see' me so I can get the heck on out of here!"
He took the opportunity to fly as high into the sky as he could to prepare for one mean launch kick. When he was high enough he closed his wings and dived straight down toward the Deelagun while it was still irritated from the gust of wind. "I really hope my aim has gotten better for this type of thing!!" He bellowed out. His eyes briefly flashed when he got close enough to land a kick on one of its front eyes.

The beast released an ear-ripping screech. The impact of one of its eyes being kicked hard enough caused it to temporarily shut.

Casper regained his balance in the air, taking heavy, yet shaking breaths. "I... can't believe... that actually worked!! Phew!!!" He expressed relief and chuckled rather awkwardly. The Deelagun should be able to take its focus off of him for now. Casper took the chance while he could to fly away.

"Can finally try to get out of this town and- OH SHIT!!!"

Because the beast was moving frantically due to the pain in the eye that was shut from the kick, one of its tails were raised and began to flail violently. Which was aiming for Casper at an alarming speed. There was no time to move out the way. He used his arms to cover his face and his wings to cover his whole body to brace for what was coming.
The tail of the beast slapped Casper right out of the air, and into one of the buildings where he felt part of his left ear scrape against the bricks.

His body slammed against the ground, putting him enough distance away from the Nova Tree. "N-No..." he groaned in pain."I... h-h-have to... get to..." The impact made it hard for him to speak. His weak shaking arms desperately trying to pick himself up from the ground as his consciousness fades in and out. It was no use... He was too weak to get up. His body and wings handled more than enough. He completely collapsed.

The last thing he was able to see before he lost full consciousness was an oddly familiar blue figure that was leaned up against the walls on one of the buidlings close by...

"Peri got you, big brother..." the blue gro said as she carried the unconscious Casper away. "Peri got you..."

Her face still had blood trailing down from the right side, but she was far more worried and concerned for Casper. It was hard seeing him like this. She didn't really expect Casper to be out here, knowing he's not much of a fighter to begin with.

Peri picked up her weapon and continued to walk away with her unconscious brother on her shoulder, taking him somewhere safe and away from all the chaos...
