Sorry for a huge amount of blood and teh horror in this pic... A drawing you don't expect from me.
I've been drawing cute pics all the time, so I decided to try a new genre for once: horror. (Halloween is around the corner )Firstly, someone's critique told me to work on the emotions of the eyes, so I decided to try. While drawing that eye, suddenly my mind flickered to Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. Inspiration! That girl looks like Rika, doesn't she? But she isn't Rika.
But if you like, you can imagine her as Rika.Oh yeah, blood.
I remember when I was young, I would get nauseous seeing it.
But I realized then, the shounen mangas were the reason that made me get used to it even more, and not faint again anymore.
And plus, my RL best friend's drawings. It's true, her drawings sometimes contain blood.
Can't believe she let me see them.Critiques appreciated, they help improve my art~!!

Proportion... still need working I guess o__o
Head is too big compared to body. Does the volume is inflated while adding the hair, or you draw hair without making the sketch of baldy?
Either way, it never hurts to refer to real anatomy. Check this link, hope it still works. Proportion is rather western than asian, but once you get the hang of it you will draw both of them with ease.

Now the exciting part.
It took me long, yet I still can't understand many things....
First of all, I assume that she is killing some person, judging by the title and the gesture that she appear to lick the blood on her hand.
But...
Who is that she kill? Why must the scene is taken near sakura tree ? What was her method? Why does the falling leaves are soaked in blood, if none of the leaves at the tree are spattered with it?
Yet, the most intriguing question is... why does she kill and why must the girl around the school year girl ?
I'm sorry if I asked too much, and hoped that this help you.

I don't think it needs a mature tag ~ c:
I think that the blood looks too thick and too bright;
For that, you'd probably only need to make it more dripping and slightly darker : D
Also, the end tips of her hair are a little too pointy/zig-zaggy, they look like this -> vvv XDD;
It's good that you're trying differnt expression, it gives your art more depth ^ ^
For drawing something you're not used to drawing, i think this came out pretty well~
